One page pitch preperation

In lesson today we spoke about our one page pitch and discussed what to do and what not to do, we got some tips:

• Don't use a well known song because people will have watched the video over and over and know the artist and how the video looks and sounds so it will be difficult not to copy or compare. 
• Check the location before you film.
• Talk about people in the group and what they bring.
• Is the setting and location feasible?
• Interiors : lighting , think about where you are going to film it, if needing the school hall then may need to book it.
• timing needed to film.
• Equipment
• props : cost of them, where you'll get them.
• special effects

Who will the video appeal to?

• what sort of audience?
• specify the audience
• link to audience theories
• come up with a typical audience member
• Show a understanding of what's gone on before? suitable for fans of...

artist genre:

• why is it suitable for the artist/genre? 
• Expectations of the audience
• fit with the overall package
• positive thinking
• company name
• roles
• what videos have you taken inspiration from?
